Breitling, Switzerland, "Navitimer Cosmonaute" wrist chronograph, ref. 809, 17 jewels, manual winding, gilt plate Venus cal. 178 movement with lever escapement in a stainless steel case with rotating bezel, and 24 hour arabic numeral black painted dial with "AOPA" logo below 12:00 and "Navitimer" above 6:00, the chronograph counting elapsed seconds, minutes, and hours, white painted luminous hands, serial #991063, 40mm, c1965, with black leather strap and Breitling buckle.
CONDITION:
CASE: Dings and pin pricks; Minor scratches and scuffs; Dings and burrs on the underside of some lugs; Plastic crystal with fine scratches. DIAL: Luminous compound restored; Minor dirt. HANDS: Replaced. MOVEMENT PLATES: Numerous fine scratches; Some screws with marred heads; A few steel components with a speck of oxide. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). COMPLICATION FUNCTION: Functions properly.
